All stories start somewhere and Sandra’s should probably start with a »Since I was a child, I’ve always dreamt of becoming a make up artist.«

Sorry to disappoint you, that wasn’t her dream (if you must know, she wanted to become a doctor!). But art was always her form of escapism, she would spend hours and hours alone in her room, drawing interesting faces, exploring form, color combinations and simetry. However, art was always considered just a hobby. That is why she went to study construction engeneering (so much about that medical school!).

While she studied, she was also working full time in retail, as a make up artist and skin care consultant. Through this job she got to learn a lot about different types of skin, got to know many brands and different formulas. When she was doing make up for her clients, she quickly realised that doing make up on faces is not much different from drawing and painting.

After completing her studies in construction engeneering and working for few years in the industry, she decided to persue her passion. Long story short – she quit her job, moved to London to get a make up certificate and started doing make up full time. More than a decade in the business, it’s definitely been a thrilling, if exhausting, rise. “Concealer and coffee,” she jokes, “are my best friends.”
